SuFI was founded in 2005.
In 2007, we established a small organic garden on Hope Street.
In 2009, the Real Food Initiative (a collaboration between SuFI, the Student-Labor Alliance, and Students for a Democratic Society) became a part of Brown Dining Services' Sustainability Program. Brown is one of over 300 "Real Food institutions" across the country. Learn more about the national Real Food Challenge here.
The Sustainable Food Initiative has been a member group of emPOWER since 2011.
